Happy New Year 2012!!!!!

I hope everyone had a great New Years Eve and well New Years day!! 2011 went by too quickly in my mind, yet I'm glad it did. Everyone I'm sure had a lot of ups and downs last year and so I hope everyone have a great refreshing and positive new year!! Let all your negatives turn into positives and always keep Hope around as your close friend, if not best friend and always have Fate in all you need it in!!

My New Years Eve day sadly didn't go well. Well it started out well with my family and I, along with my sis tagging along, went on an adventure to Wisconsin. As we got to the Premium Outlets there, I started to feel ill...every step I took. I didn't mention nothing to no one cause at times it will pass with time with me, but not this time. I eventually lost what I ate, which was only my breakfast that whole day and well, I didn't eat much to nothing at all. I feared it might happen again and I really didn't want to throw up again....I hate that feeling. This was the first time in many many many maaaany years I've thrown up, in a loooong time....seriously. I can't recall when the last time I threw up was or so. I still don't know what it was or caused me to hit ill, so that will puzzle me. While being in the Outlets, I got strength to suck it up and walk around to get better for awhile, but I did get what I wanted from there...well one item! You know those Skecher boots I linked in my other blog post? Yes, I got those and in a really low price...to my surprise. Sure a coupon did it and a "Buy one pair, get another pair half off" sale was going on, I just had to jump in on this sale...but how? I decided to buy my mom some sneakers for her birthday/christmas. I 'm just glad she's wearing them already...me on the other hand, haven't been lucky to wear mine.

Weather

Ooh shucks, we did get snow this last minute of the year...well beginning of the new year. It was only 2 inches worth of snow and well, it lasted a bit but not much. We were in the 20s and freezing winds blowing around 40mph on Monday. I believe by the end of this week, we will be back by the high 30s and 40s, so this small snow isn't going to last at all. We'll see if we get more, but I highly doubt it and don't want it!

Traditions: "Rosca de Reyes" bread

There is a tradition in the Hispanic culture after the new year comes. Basically this tradition is getting, or making, a bread called Rosca de Reyes. It's a sweet bread covered at times with strips of candy or with fruit and within the bread there are babies inside it. Why babies? It represents Jesus and if you get a piece, you would make a party...along with 2 other people. You can look up this tradition by clicking on the above link and learning more of it.

Breaking out of the box

I've come to realize that I've been wanting to get out of my comfort zone. I hate using these terms and I'm sure my boyfriend will make fun of me for this, but....I think my girly side is finally at arise. I want to be in some styles with my new boots. This Monday, I tried on for the very first time Skinny jeans and OMG....how they felt really weird and close to my skin/legs *shudders*. I like bootcut or flare jeans, I think I know how that guy feels like in this tv commercial:

Why skinny jeans you may ask? Since I got myself a new pair of boots, my sis told me that a pair of skinny jeans will be able to show them off more than any other type of jeans style. Oddly enough, I go for the bootcut and well flare type. I'll see if I can find any I like and get used to them. Besides that, body washes and shampoo have been coming to mind as well lately. Been looking online which brands and such are good for the body/hair and well cost cheap. Lotions and a bit of make up start to roll in and I figure, "A little make up wouldn't hurt anyone right?", but I know nothing of it and only am going towards eye make up and some cover ups, not the whole 1hr process most ladies take and do. I'm also not sure if I should grow my hair out a bit, get bangs and do the whole blue highlights thing again. I loved doing that to my hair, something different for a change right?. I haven't had bangs since I was a kid honestly, but I don't know if it fits my face shape and if I can manage them well. With the long hair part, my boyfriend will root and cheer to it in agreement....he likes that kind of thing lol. Well, these are some of the small tidbits that I've been crossing in my mind recently and researching. Will they happen? sure, with some until I see if it fits with me well and my style....tomboyish, with a twist ;D!!!

P.s. moment...

Doesn't this guy look like my boyfriend? I reaaaaaallllyyy do think so XD. I always root for him on the show "Top Chef: Texas" on Bravo. Here is his bio and oooh look, he resides here in Chicago!! Go Chris J.!!! Ahem, yes my boyfriend knows of this and I even tell him "you survived Top Chef", he cheers after that lol....that is all XD *giggles*!!
