Movie Review: The Odd Life of Timothy Green

Synopsis:

              "A magical pre-adolescent boy whose personality and naivete have profound effects on the people in his town."

As always, I get skeptical about certain kind of movies that are of this nature. Some can be successful and some can just plop and not succeed. Well, I thought this way with this one and my mom was the one who picked this movie this time. All I can say is, tear jerker! It is a drama type with nice morals throughout the whole movie. With some movies of this sort, you only get the moral of the story till the end of it, but this one you get it in each step, in each rising and falling action or conflicts. This is not your normal kid and his parents do want him to be that way and raised that way, but he knows he's different. They are surprised about all he goes through and walks away with a smile on his face with each situation he gets into. They basically got the child they always wanted and at the end, realized what they received and learned through it all. I got some of the inspiring moments he went through inside me and at the end of the movie and at times can relate to them. Its an inspiring, touching, full of morals tear jerker of a movie. Honestly, I walked out crying a bit or had misty eyes in the middle of the movie till the end. Main moral to it to me is: never give up, forget what people think of you and do your best with everything and anything! 4 1/2 out of 5 stars - the story went quick in the beginning to me.
