A hyphen in life

Well, the last post on this was on May and boy did a lot of things happen since then. I'm not sure where to begin, besides reading what was on the last blog post. Summaries it is, lets begin!

June - July
I don't think anything memorable happened in June, from what I can recall. We were both just trying to eat healthy, get our or mainly Eric's portions right on a plate and just try out new things. He did loose a lot of weight
June - It seems like we had tons of rain in this month here. Most people were glad and others not. In Memorial Day, we had horrible storms to the point that in some areas there were tornadoes. We did have some warnings in our area, where our house is at, and we did go for cover. So, that is one of the experiences that I don't want to live again, but it will happen again. Our entrance to our neighborhood flooded, but at least we were safe. After that, we just tried out restaurant near our area, saw several movies we wanted to see, and I finally changed my license to a Texan one.
July - I believe at this point I already have been watching The X-Files on Netflix, but the Director or certain X-philes aka fans wanted to create an event regarding watching the whole series again, so when it was over, we started with the new season or revival. I wish I waited, but then again if you're a fan, you would start whenever and can't stop. We still tried out restaurants in the area, I got my hair and makeup trials for my wedding done (it was not an easy task), my X-Files season 10 comics ended the season, and we went to a video game convention. Also, at this point, it got fair at work for me to get an early shift.. which is what I always wanted. Finally, close to the end of the month, we finally got our engagement photos done by a good friend of mine from work.

August
At this point, we were counting down the days to our wedding. We also had our bachelor/bachelorette parties, gathered whatever else we needed for our wedding, and I also got pampered with MAC products before my party paid by a coworker friend at her second job. I had fun with who showed up to my party and Eric got tricked into the location they went to for his. It was fine by me, you only live once... (Yolo). Then finally, my family showed up a week before my wedding. I enjoyed having my family here with us and finally seeing more of Austin, especially our new house. I loved that my family enjoyed Eric's family as well, down to the little ones.

The whole family got makeovers, from hair to nails. I never gotten my nails done, at all, period cause I see it as a waste of money. Then finally, our wedding was here. Everyone who wanted to attend, showed up to state that they cared for us. Nothing really went wrong, I did not turn into a Bridezilla, and just had a great time!

I'm just glad everyone helped, some of my coworkers volunteered their time to set-up our venue, got a coworker to be our DJ and he was great, and I just want to thank everyone for everything.. gifts, well wishes and whoever helped with whatever. So, now I have a hyphenated name or life. Then my family left the next day and all went back to normal and got nothing to worry.

September
Thus far, married life is no different, but it hasn't hit me yet. We had a setback recently with Eric going to ER twice, but the 2nd one was the main one.. he got surgery. He got an appendicitis and needed it removed asap. If we waited another 12 hours from last Tuesday , he would've been worse. He is better now and recovered greatly.

Eric before surgery with HO-HO.
We're just trying to recuperate from all this happening 2 weeks after we got married. At least we caught it on time and nothing else happened. Hopefully within the coming weeks, it hits me that we are married and well he heals as well. I think I need to write in this at least twice a month, vent and let things out more.
