Photography is the niche! (an update)

Weather
Okay, so we did hit low 50s this past weekend and boy it was not welcomed at all! We will be doing a roller coaster of weather temps this week for sure, of course according to The Weather Channel. I try not to believe them much since they did fall low on the radar certain days here in Chicago during the summer, so add or subtract a couple of degrees from what they say and that's our weather basically. 60s, low 70s and some 50s are in the forecast for this week!

So as stated in my previous blog post, my sister requested me to take family and couple photos of our family before baby Ivan arrives. I enjoyed doing it so much that I woke up sore the next day, my thighs ached. You get wounds or sores in one of the greatest battles you will conquer in your life, to the point of scars.. metaphorically speaking! They ache still a bit today, but its a nice reminder that you did something good and right. And on to some examples, only a few:

We did go to the Chicago Botanic Garden, but of course the weather was crappy as hell or how hell would be if it was frozen lol! Despite the weather, we continued to take lots of photos of the place, but more of the family since it was the request and reason to go. I told them how to pose and well I did my magic on the angles and me only being the one moving during the photo shoot. I enjoyed doing it and will do it again, if anyone's interested. Keep in mind, if you need me to fly to you, you will need to pay for my ticket and then the picture packages lol! For now, I hope I get requests from the same state only and then if I get lots of requests, I just might be able to travel to you.

Weapon of choice
During my time at the Botanic Garden, I noticed lots of people carrying their bundles of camera cases and lenses. I wouldn't mind owning a Canon camera or Nikon one, heck it can be on my wishlist for Christmas, but slim chance of getting one. Anyways, I see everyone with their cameras, as huge as their hands and such.. I have no problems of that sorts. Whats my weapon or camera then you say? My phone is my camera. No its not a fancy shmancy phone either, its just an HTC G2 with google phone. No longer in the market or for sale by T-Mobile, but I'm glad I own it for now. A friend of mine thought I carried a Canon like camera everywhere I go and told them, nope.. just what fits in my pocket which is my phone. After told that, that person was shocked and impressed even more with my work. Oddly enough, I just wish friends of mine who did like my Digital Blu page would "Like" my statuses and whichever photo they really like as well, but nope... they came and went and maybe even skim my work or just don't take it seriously. I take my work and yours quite seriously, so its.. a shame that I'm always overlooked. Oh well, things happen for a reason sooner or later I guess.

Operation: Halloween Costume update!
Short and sweet update, I only need one more item for my costume. I have found a watch laying around the house or dad did and showed it to me. I only need is my white vest in which I will be buying this week! Once I gather all of my "supplies", I will take a photo of them.. not me included just yet. Also the Town Hall of Terror (26 rooms) is coming together quite swell too. Hopefully I can go and well go to the prison with another group of friends or acquaintances of my sisters soon, since it seems that idea is on the table. Will there be photos? Yes, all of the above if one or both events can happen. I won't let that slip off my fingers as well, great opportunity for Fall/Halloween photos!

Not so clever title.. an update!

Weather
Well, it hasn't been so bad as we all thought it was gonna be here. But you can't jump the gun here just yet. We did hit 80 like weather today here, during the Fall season, but.. it won't last long! We will hit, according to weather channel, in the upper 50s or so in the weekend. Suck-y? Yes, it will... terribly and so we blame that on the cold front swinging by. You were never welcomed cold front, so shoo!

Baby shower surprise! Oh wait..

In general, it was a success! Most of the people my brother-in-law invited came and they were blessed with many gifts for their kid, my nephew Ivan. Sure we did have some taddle -tales with friends from both their sides, but whatever.. we continued to have a great time. I had a great opportunity to take some photo shots of them and the whole party. One is shown above was a pose I told them to do, to look at each other. At one point, he couldn't hold it in and this was the result...

I love this photo of them. I don't like all my photos to be serious professional ones either, so I'm glad I got this shot. It shows personality as a whole in the photo and it's nice to laugh and capture it once in awhile! Anyways, more glam-up photos of their baby shower can be seen at my Digital Blu Facebook Page!!

Other than their baby shower, it is Fall season and I will be trying my best to take photos of the Foliage that's merging out now. There is one particular spot with a nice tree that I enjoy now. I have been wanting to take a photo of it for quite awhile now, but due to the weather not cooperating with me...it was a no go every time. You will be able to see this particular spot and tree at my Digital Blu FB page as well. I just might print one out soon and frame it so my mom can have it at her job. Maybe someone passing by will see it and want a print of it too... hint hint! I'm proud of one photo I took in particular and I have posted it up to the right of my blog here. Other than that, more photos will be on their way soon.. with family photos by me that my sister requested and hopefully that happens soon and well more to come of many kinds!

Counting down.. possibly!

Well, its October.. Halloween is around the corner, Foliage will soon appear in most places by now, houses will be decorated.. some of them, but.. *drum roll* its almost time for baby Ivan to arrive. We are on high alert this whole month 'cause it can happen at any time basically. Sure, she's due by the end of the month, but not many mothers actually give birth on their exact due date. I just hope all goes well at the end for my sister and yes, I will be there.. even if its over night. When he's out and cleaned, there will be photos taken.. lots of them! So I guess if I go MIA or so one day or two, then you will know why. Honestly, I have been MIA or in hiding nowadays.. I just don't care much to be on my laptop a lot, as I used to. Motivation has gone down or so and well, that's all I'm gonna say.

Operation "Halloween Costume" in affect
Well this has been going swell, for the most part. Lots of improvising and "losses", but I'm almost there!

Heather costume:
-Orange shirt.. check
-[Green] Skirt.. check
-Boots.. check
-Blonde/white wig.. check
-Orange "wrist bands".. check
-White vest
-Black watch

I'm almost done, just need two more items and I'll be set for trick-o-treating and going to a Haunted Town Hall filled with 26 rooms of horror.. muwahahahaaa! There is a zombie corn maze around here and a Haunted Prison is going to have access for scares and such. I wouldn't mind doing all those, but money issues and other situations arise... so only one event can happen. I just might appear in my halloween costume to the Silent Hill: Revelation 3D showing of it.. yup being in character during the movie airing haha! We'll see how things go!

Sh!ts and giggles (updates)

Sorry for no updates/no posts for over a month, literally. My life hasn't been that interesting, especially recently. Anyways, on with the show!

Weather
It's been quite nice, in the upper 70s or straight 80s the whole month of August and September seems promising still as well. We were getting the aftermath of Hurricane Issac this weekend, but it wasn't that harsh...just rain and rain and more rain, in which terms turns into humidity and that doesn't feel pretty. I hope these temperatures stay this way during next week, it will be nice if they did!

Artsy tartsy
Recently, I have discovered I have a niche for photography! With the good help of Instagram app for iPhones/Androids/Smart phones, my next art skill to perfect and get into is Photography. Keep in mind, I have no background nor schooling on it what-so-ever. I could've taken a class on it during high school, but the requirement for it was to have a very fancy digital camera (like a canon or nikon brand like camera with a switchable BIG lens) and well, I didn't have the money for that and my dad's got stolen. Anyways, I couldn't bare for my parents to buy me one for just one class then, so I took other art classes I can afford. As soon as I find a job, my next small goal is to purchase one of those cameras and continue with that skill. Here are some of my examples so far, with water-marks:

 A friend of mine put a request on my Digital Blu Facebook page, to do some photos dealing with trees! I did my best the first round and she told me not to be "afraid" to get closer and show detail. The second round, she loved and I have yet to hear from her about which pictures she would want print outs of. I will remove the water-marks on them and replace them with my actual signature and a price. If anyone would like to put requests, don't hesitate to! Luckily enough, I got great pics of trees when I went on a trip to Michigan with my family and some family members, to a farm there!

This is the base there at the farm, Tree-mendus Fruit Farm. Its in Eau Claire, Michigan, 2 hours away from Chicago and 20 mins or so once entering Michigan. Sadly, this time around all the peaches were gone, since the hot weather got here early...so did the harvest. We got more apples than peaches and from what we heard, the place will be closed earlier this year. Hopefully next year will be better than this year and I will get to take more pictures then! So for now, whenever I get the chance to take pictures of anything, I will to improve this skill. Besides finding out I got a niche on Photography, I decided to create a Facebook page that will display all of my artwork from my past, present and future projects! My portfolio is in there, under the albums and my demo reel will soon be on there as a video, but I do need to change some information that it has in the end of it. I have finished another digital painting and I am proud of it! It is "X-Files" related and I have showed the end result of it on my Digital Blu Blog. I have started another digital painting while still working on my "X-Files" painting, but this new one is dedicated to the new Silent Hill movie coming out in October. Halloween is near!
Well, I never do dress up for this event or "holiday", 'cause sadly I was always busy with working or just had no reason to, if there was no one to go with to have fun. This year, I want to get out of my nutshell and usual self and actually have fun during this holiday! In fact, I have decided what I wanted to be...*drum roll*...Heather from Silent Hill 3 game series. Yes, another dedication to the new movie coming out in the greatest time to do this, Halloween time!! I have yet to gather the articles of clothing to buy for this costume, but I figure I should look around in the Goodwill stores for it. If I can't find one or any there, Walmart is second best for this! We'll see how this goes, would've been a nurse, but that's complicated in itself and here is how she looks like:

Lyrics tell it all

Recently I can relate to a specific song I heard that it was becoming popular recently. With its remixes and such, it is quite promising. I especially like the lyrics it has, before I didn't cause I refused to hear it 'cause of its beat, but once I read the lyrics and a recent incident that ties up with it, I have grown to like it A LOT!! I will put the official video of it and then highlight some of the lyrics I can totally relate to now more than ever.

This part, I'm sure I was addicted to a certain kind of sadness. I never wanted to be left alone and I had someone I can relate to 'cause not only with similar interests we had in common, but just the way our lives were going...with road bumps, dead ends and cul-de-sac's it wasn't going to go nowhere, but only in circles. Once it was over, I was confused to which direction to take, since I have taken each road before already...staying friends or not being friends and both, didn't work out for me. No matter how hard I tried, it just went like a flat life line. This time round, it's staying that way for sure...a flat life line, so I was glad it was over.

I read between the lines with fights or situations I get into. Once I'm involved, I get confused and start to make 2 to 3 paths it might be or lead to. I like preparing myself and my feelings in whatever direction it might go. During this life event, I at times felt like I did something wrong, whenever we got into a fight or so. I feared of being let go and abandonment 'cause I "started a fight/discussion", it was my fault right? I started the mess and was stuck in it right? If she started it and all, she's the issue basically. I stood my ground most of the time and had backup for it, but even then...it screwed me over, somehow, I was always the bad guy no matter what. Well, I felt crappy when that happened and I didn't "win" the fight and hated living that way. I don't want to live that way, ever again, and even though this happened in my past and was told so, it happened. I don't deserve this, no one does!! Even when I tried to explain myself, figures....people thought I was fighting with them and "yelling" back. I don't want to live that way and I'll be the someone that you used to know and vice versa!!

Also, don't play with my feelings, don't ask questions that will lead me to think you like me, leave me hanging, ignoring me, thinking I'm putting myself on a pedal-stool in which clearly I said I'm not and clearing my end of the confusion in my mind and don't go say shitty crap that will make you look like a dumb m****r f**ker, 'cause sweety...I'm not the one with a mental disorder, literally and you're no gentleman if you go on saying stuff like that, so quit calling yourself that. Personality is nothing like the past person I was with...not one bit, just your shitty jokes!! That's all I have to say 'cause I can, it's MY BLOG and its a FREE COUNTRY.

Coincidences

My day was a typical Friday at work. You get your moments of small chaos and flaws, while other moments it just turns quiet. The weather was nice out, once it turned noon, but it was rather chilly in the morning.

Coincidences in the office

So while finishing up my lunch break today at work, I overheard unintentionally, my boss and another co-worker talking about a book that the co-worker is going to take out. Fully published and ready to be sold soon, I wondered what it was about. So I asked my co-worker what the story was about and it's quite strange, but very interesting in what it exactly is about and how it works, the plot of the story. I'm that curious to read the ending that I'm willing to buy it to find out and well, support my co-worker in his career in that field. After he told me that he was barely starting out in that path of his career, I too told him about my attempts into writing stories. I told him about my major in college, my hobby in writing and digital paintings I do in Photoshop, basically cliff notes of my life. I enjoyed the conversation and him wanting to learn a bit more and wanting to help me build my hobby into a small career there too. He is right though, "you learn about your co-workers and what they do in their lives through small chats during lunch breaks". One conversation ends, another sparks and grasps attention. At the end, we exchanged business cards so we can check each others work out and he will notify me more of his book and any other tip that might help me out on my end.

"Wait a little while"...

I decided to wait about the "Kindle Fire" toy. I don't need it right away and I know its not out yet, but by the time it does come out in stores, it won't be out for long. I'm sure many people are going to want it, so it won't last out in shelves for long or even on Amazon. I will possibly wait till next year and see if its been a success and well, I don't need it now...so I will take my boyfriend's advice on this one and "wait a while".

Simple costume

I'm still thinking if I should dress up a little bit for Halloween during work and if I do, then it will be something simple to get into. Hopefully I can find one or two accessories for this costume during the weekend and well take it with me to work for Monday. I hope my boss don't mind and well, strikes the child part in everyone there to come out and have fun that day, even though we're at work. If I do decide to dress up, I will take a picture and post it up here and on my Facebook page! I will also bring candy for the kids there, I just hope its not that many that show up or all at the same time.

It sucks that I'm not much invited anywhere during these times, but I'm also not the type of person to go out to parties and the alike, like clubs. I rather be home and just relax and that's what I'll do.
