Goals and over yonder

Weather
Geeze this weather keeps getting worse and worse and well, honestly Chicago is in a bipolar state. I think we should completely revamp or rename this city The Bipolar City, instead of The Windy City. It makes more sense, don't you think? Back to some 30s, then low teens this week.

Goals are being met
So I had to make a list of what I should aim for as goals this new year. Photo above is just some of the goals that are being completed as I type this. Which ones you ask? Mainly the cutting back on soda, trying to drink more water, so far no clothes & shoes have been purchased, eating healthier, and well a short story is in the making.. so yes, many are being met. I did add more to that list than what you see, but those are more personal to me and decide to not disclose them out in the public. Eric is also making many goals and accomplishing them and so I am proud of him on his completions.

Movies ahoy!
I will try my best to remember the movies I have seen in the theaters or through Netflix (N). So bare with me if I can't remember all of them. If you want a review on any of them, before you purchase/view or go out to see them, then let me know here or on Facebook through comments.

1. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
2. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
3. The Host (N)
4. The Road (N)
5. Fly Away (N)
6. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (N)

I have yet to make a new 2014 list of movies I want to see that will be coming out in theaters each month, unless changes in date say otherwise. I'll try to get that working just as soon as I'm done with this post. For now, look up the synopsis for each of these movies and see if any spark interest in you for a review from me. I won't bother making any, if no one reads them or so.. Sorry.

Digital Blu FB Page
I will try my best to update my page on Facebook soon or in this new year! Having finally a full time job and an important one at that makes me just think of things of it during the weekend and over lapse into them. I do at times work in the weekends, depending if there's an event I need to be and represent the hospital I work at, so I do not all the time have weekends off now. Its a matter of 50/50 and if they need a bilingual there, but I am glad that new team members have been hired and well bilingual. At any rate, I will try to get back into being active with my page, but if you ever be so kindly to pass or share the page at your profile on Facebook, I would ever be so grateful. My goal for my photography and page is to get and be known and all honesty get more likes from people. I'm at least 33 if not 34 Likes so far, with your help, let's make it to at least 50 Likes by March if not sooner!! Like to be helpful in that? The share the page and mean it please! Thank you! I'll update it as well as soon as I have time to too.

2012 Movie List

I would've updated this list on the last blog post I did, but I realized that the post itself was going to be long and I don't like it getting long. Anyways, here's an update on my want to see movie list for remainder of the year!!

2012 (In order of date/month coming out)
  1. Men in black 3
  2. Madagascar 3
  3. Brave
  4. The Amazing Spider-man
  5. Ice Age: Continental drift
  6. Ted
  7. Cherrnobyl Diaries
  8. Dark Knight Rises
  9. Goats
  10. The Apparition
  11. The Perks of being a Wallflower
  12. House at the End of the Street
  13. Sinister
  14. Paranormal Activity 4
  15. Silent Hill: Revelations 3D
  16. The Loneliest Planet
  17. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
  18. This is 40
Some of these, #1-7, have been out for quite some time already, but I haven't been able to see them. If anyone wants to see any of those soon, before they are gone, I would not mind to join you on it and possibly catch up with each other!! You may notice many of them are scary/horror movies and me being afraid-y cat to scary things or situations, I'm a sucker for amazing scary movies. By amazing I mean, ones I can not predict what will happen in them in the first 5-15 minutes of the movie starting. Amazing means I need to be a little scared, jumpy, and well on the edge of my seat. If its none of those, sorry....it will be ex-ed out of my list and be rated poorly. I'm more into those type of scary movies and comedy ones, a romantic comedy doesn't hurt anyone and yeah...I fall for those too, I must admit. Where I found the names and their synopsis is at this site: MovieInsider. So check them out, make a list of your own and well if I do get to see any of these movies and would like a review of them, then let me know here or in Facebook!!

Weather

Its been totally crappy here. No, not the rainy kind of crappy, but the sticky and very hot and humid type of crappy. Its been over the 90 degrees and it seems its going to continue up till either Tuesday or Wednesday. After those 2 days, rain and boy do we need it up here!! Hopefully after the rain, the 80s stick for quite awhile and well some of us could actually do outside activities the right way....with no worries.

Miscommunication or is it misinterpretation...??

Isn't it funny when these two things happen at the same time? You are wanting to say something you know, yet can't. You're in the middle, in a pickle basically and have thought about it over and over in your own mind and world, but can't find a solution to it cause....there really isn't one?. There can be a solution to it, but it would mean you ratted yourself out in doing something you shouldn't have at the same time. Yet finding this thing out bothers you a lot and you start to wonder many other things as well....but yet again, you can't say anything due to ratting yourself out. So you got this issue going and well, you're silent....all is. Is it better to just speak out or let it cool down for a couple of days? Waiting is a crappy game as well, but it's all you can do for the moment...till the cloudyness clears away. Yet again, waiting tempts you to want to speak out....then again, if you do, you'll look desperate and like the bad guy and well explaining it made you the bad guy to begin with. Access to certain things that others don't have....sucks, a lot of the time!!!

Movie reviews:: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter & Snow White and the Huntsman

Movie Reviews:

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I was a little skeptic about this one at first. I know I wanted to see it and it did look interesting, story line and all, but I also wondered if it was worth seeing. So saw it Saturday night of its opening and I walked out amazed. I knew it was a book to begin with, since my sister was the one who told me of it and about it, so I was a little bit interested in seeing it since the book itself mentioned it was going to be a motion picture soon. Alas, I loved it 'cause of the action and how it was put really well together with the history. I walked out amazed and saying, "Well now I know how we won the war. A history lesson seen and done very differently and I will never see our former president the same ever again....but even more awesome!!"  I'm sure, everyone who sees it would say that in one form or another, but it would be said. I just loved the action most of all, it makes you want to be there or you wanting to be Abe Lincoln with that axe in your hands. The story line, of the common sense twist, just fit so well together with everything else. I'm sure Seth Grahame-Smith, the author of the novel, took time to research everything and I do mean everything in order to make the book and tie it all together with him becoming a vampire hunter. I'm also glad that the author himself got together with Tim Burton to make the movie as great as it is and I'm sure as close as how the novel is to a tee. Sadly, I'm not a bookworm, so I cannot compare the two, but if the author was willing to work with Tim Burton for the movie, then I'm sure its close to the novel. For the novel info and pricing, click the title: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The author has other books possibly similar like this one, like "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" is another I know of by him as well. My rating on this movie is 5/5 stars.... its excellent, perfect action, bloody/gore-ish, history ties well with vampire hunter aspect, and a review on your history lesson!! I would see it twice with no hesitation.

Snow White and the Huntsman

This one caught my eye 'cause it was a different interpretation of the Disney version. It looked more Gothic like and dark, something never done to a Disney movie before, so I like that. The story line known to everyone is still there, but it's been twisted a bit more to the dark side. There were some parts of the movie that caught your attention in how they did it, with graphics especially. Some scenes were beautiful, just the environment they were at were...magical, basically and you'd be amazed as the characters were entering that scene. Some parts known to everyone are there, but again with twists involved and the ending is part of that as well. I liked the art, the determination, and basically the twists they made into it, that does include the darkness. Only thing I didn't like is Kristin Stewart and no not cause she's from the Twilight series, but cause she has no life into her acting...she doesn't add more into it, more of herself either...almost lifeless acting cause she HAS to do it. I give it a 4/5 for this movie. My sis had a valid point...they should make more Disney movies this way, Gothic dark like, lol!

I have yet to see some that are out already and wouldn't really mind to see them. I know there will be one out soon by the creators of "Paranormal Activity" and "Insidious" that looks very good, scary good. I can't remember the name of it, but when I do I will add it to the list up there. If anyone is wanting to see ones that I haven't and are out already, don't hesitate to tell me!! I do need to get out more cause of something occurring with my health at the moment that needs me to actually be out more, so I hope you guys can help out in that part...2 birds with one stone type of deal. Course I'll add movies to this list later, as I see some that really will interest me and if you want a review on any of the ones I will be seeing, please don't hesitate to ask for one!!

Traveling..

Very brief, I will be out of the country for a week. I will try to log onto my computer when I can. If you need me for anything, please either leave a message on my email, Facebook, or with Eric. It'll eventually get to me in one form or another, but due to me being out of the country...I won't be able to have my phone on at all. Just a heads up to all!
