Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to All!!!

Weather

The weather sadly does not match with the holiday! Alas that's a good thing with me, I really don't like snow, so I'm glad it didn't snow for the Christmas day!! It is mainly in the 40s or lower and I haven't heard of any "snow showers" or "flurries" in the future forecast...which is a plus, still!!

Merry Christmas!

Well a Merry Christmas to everyone!!! As much and reality that it is Christmas already, but...it just doesn't feel like it, at all. Odd to say that, but it's true for me. There is no snow where I live at, I have no Christmas tree with gifts underneath it, and well it just doesn't feel like it. Most of the gifts have been sent out and received and well opened by now I'm sure. I'm glad that my boyfriend Eric and my friend Rainbow loved their gifts a lot!! Sadly I have no picture of the gifts Eric got, but they are: a Sunbeam Stand Mixer, a Pink Floyd t-shirt, and 3 small baking cook books. I was told by him that he has been looking for a mixer and well, I'm glad I got one for him before he got one. So he loved and enjoyed the gifts!! As for my other friend, I got her a wallet with a Panda, rainbow, stars and blue on it, a panda ring aaand panda necklace:

I also was told that she adores them to death, especially the wallet so I'm really glad I got them for her and she loves them all!! You deserve it my friend!! Alas, down to me and what I got right? Well, from my boyfriend I got: a heart shaped mood ring and the Calico critters Furbanks Squirrel Family!!

I looove mood rings and he knows it <3!!
Doesn't it look like they are presenting me the ring? My boyfriend thought so and caught that, I didn't till he mentioned it and I love the thought he did of that!! It wasn't intentional for me to make that idea, of "presenting", to happen...so I'm glad he mentioned/saw it that way!

I might need another monkey Rainbow lol!
What my friend Rainbow got me is: cute monkey stickers, a handmade monkey, and a handmade card!! Well, seems another friend of mine loves the handmade monkey and wants one for herself, so I'll get in contact with you Rainbow for that, when you have time for it all!

The Pink Floyd t-shirt to the left my sister gave to me and luckily enough for her it fits me lol!! An unexpected gift or gifts are the ones on the right. They are from my boyfriend's mom and I did not know I was getting anything from her, but trust me...she will be getting a gift now. I have gotten gifts from my parents earlier in the year, which was cash and I got more cash today from my Godparents...so I Thank them for that!! I Thank everyone for the gifts I've gotten and the thought put into each and every one of them, I appreciate it!!

Wedding in the future...?

It seems I've been watching too much wedding shows and all this end of the month more than before or usual. The first show I have been watching more of now is TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress". As much as I would love a dress from there and costing over thousands of dollars, I'm not that type of person to spend that much money in just one item/clothing, unless its totally practical and necessary. So I did digging and went to a site that I have been to before and heck, my sister purchased her wedding dress from there. I actually picked her dress and bought it for her, ahem lol!! This place and site is very practical and good with price range and that site is David's Bridal. I looked through it recently and, omg....I think I found my dress already or some styles I really like!
The other show I have watched before and now am again is We tv's "My Fair Wedding with David Tutera". I just loooove his revisions and just his taste with everything he fixes and touches. If I ever need help with my wedding in under 3 weeks to my wedding, I would definitely want him to help out. Most of the works he does is mainly themed based, in which asking the bride what the theme is to her wedding and all. I.....don't have a theme in mind, at all! Many little girls growing up and planning their weddings have all of this thought out, but I don't or at least they do to a degree, but...I really don't. I just love blue and would love that in it, thats it basically lol!! Other than that, I have nooo freaking clue what else lol!! Every time I see these shows, I picture myself in them and well...I start to cry. Course I do picture my boyfriend in them too and could swear he will cry in that day, when it comes. There's been lots of signs recently of this might be coming true or at least the first part to getting here/there in this new year and I hope it really does happen. We'll see what happens and noooo this is not a rush or hint hint type of thing, it just how I feel in it all.

Yaaaaar matey, traditions!!

Well since its the holidays, there are some traditions that happen around my house. My dad made a tea that's called "Ponche" and I'm glad he did. He did eliminate some of the ingredients in it, so its not exactly like the recipe in that link. Most main ingredients he kept were: oranges, sugar canes, sugar, green apples, guavas, tamarind pods, and water. All the other ingredients in that link are optional, especially the brandy lol! The other tradition, not made by us this year sadly, is Tamales. Parents bought tamales from restaurants and they were deeeeelish! My mom used to make them I think every year, but more recently she's been not doing much cause it's just too much for her to do on her own. I would help, but I fear I might not do something right (as proven recently *sighs*), so I try not to help much with food. Hrm, why the yaaaar matey part in the title? Cause I just had to share this link of Skecher boots I found and adore. My mom said they looked pirate like and that just hit me in loving them more lol!! I sadly didn't get them when I saw them and on sale, cause they didn't want to give me a discount on them being the last and well one being a display one. So, I found myself a coupon and hopefully they take it. Yes I know I got a North Face jacket to think about too, but there are after Christmas sales going on and I will take advantage of it all!!!

Anyways this has so far happened to me in the past week or in the weekend. We'll see what happens in this new week to come. Everyone enjoy the rest of your holiday and have a Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas trees and songs already?!!

Weather

Well the weather here has been cold. Its either been in the 50s or just 40s, that feel like in the 30s and some days with cold winds. This whole week during the holiday, it will be mainly in the 50s during the holiday, but I'm sure the cold winds will be back around that time. It also seems that we're going to have a mixture of rain and snow showers this coming Sunday, which sucks, but snow will sooner or later come no matter what.

Christmas lights, trees, decorations, and songs already?!?!

As I literally stepped out of the house and into any store, heck even the mall I came to realize....Christmas theme came early this year. Stores are decorated already, the mall is decorated, Christmas songs are playing in the stores and mall. I thought to myself, "Was everything put out early this year?" and frankly I'm not the only one who is thinking this way about it all. My boyfriend even mentioned it as well and if the story my dad told me is true, then someone else who sued about this and won also thinks that way, lol. Stuff like this happened at least in the week of Thanksgiving, not the beginning of November. Then, the commercial that brings everything into reality, that Christmas really is around the corner is this commercial:

Such a simple commercial and at times cute, but gosh..it really hits you with the sign that it's definitely Christmas time and need to prepare for it all, argh lol!

Movies:
"Jack and Jill"

So I saw the movie "Jack and Jill" with my parents yesterday. Let me just say that it was funny, but most of the funny parts were shown in the commercials for it on tv. Don't get me wrong, it was funny throughout the whole movie, but there were some jokes that weren't seen as jokes, as if they were inside jokes or jokes that only people who pay attention to Adam Sandler's career would understand. I honestly can say I don't do that and heck, I don't like Adam Sandler...I don't think he's funny at all. Why did I go see this movie? I saw it was funny and I like comedy movies and gave it a shot. All in all, it was funny and I'll add this in here, if you're a fan of his then I do recommend seeing it. If you haven't seen the movie tv commercials for it, here it is:

"Super 8"

I saw this movie in the theaters and well, it brought back memories of me in college doing the same thing the kids were doing in it. "Super 8" is finally coming out in dvd form tomorrow and I really wouldn't mind getting it, especially- if I read right, there is a 5$ off coupon for the special edition of it. If you have seen it and want it, it will be in stores tomorrow and if you haven't totally try to rent it!! It's a total must see!!

Kindle Fire review

I won't add the review here, but I will make a blog out of it tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a week I had it and well, I need to figure out how to proceed with this review and well how to set it up. I have yet to find more apps to add to it, test some other apps I added to it on the road and well, so on, but it will be a week that I have had it tomorrow. I'll see what I come up with and what specifically to talk about it.

Cooking, Ahoy!

An aspect of my life that I just don't wanna touch and well include in my life. I'm not sure why, but I just don't like cooking....by myself. I don't like cooking on my own, I don't like learning how to, and well I just don't like it. I'm afraid that if I do, I'll mess it up and well, just suck at it. I'll follow instruction type of cooking, but other than that...no I won't. Sadly, since I'm home now, unemployed, my parents want me to help out in this aspect and I just don't like the idea. All their homemade dishes aren't written into recipes and so requires me to pay total attention and if I like the dish, I will definitely write the recipe down.

"Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives"

I have recently started watching  this show on the Food Network called "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" aka Triple D. At the hours its on, nothing else that's on was good, so I decided to watch it. There were a couple of places now I do want to visit, mainly here in Illinois and in Texas. I can't recall the names of the placed in Texas, but they are in San Antonio to be exact. I will mention the ones in Chicago cause well, they are the ones I wouldn't mind visiting here: "Nana", "Big and Little's" (not their main website- I think they lack in one) and "Honky Tonk BBQ". Honky Tonk is the main one I wouldn't mind visiting the most cause well, they have Brisket and in a sandwich form...yum!! Check your local listings for "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" and bring a napkin with you, if you start watching it....you might start to drool lol!!

"Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword"
I believe this game is coming out tomorrow, if not it is already out in stores. It looks very interesting and well just plainly awesome!! I wouldn't mind getting it soon, but I will hold up on that, till it gets lower in price....which won't be any time soon, *sighs* lol. I've seen the tv commercials for it and it looks amazing!!
