"Mirror Mirror" review and other updates...

Well, its been a long time or 2 weeks exactly that I haven't posted in here. Well, let's begin!

Weather

Its been a roller coaster, literally. I believe Chicago or the Midwest has been bipolar....it doesn't know what it wants or likes to stay at. It has jumped from 80s to 70s, heck to a "Freeze Warning" this past week. Right now, it's cold and well very windy...possibly around the 50s or feeling like it with the winds. I just hope sooner or later, it makes up its mind and stay that way for the whole month, not just a wham bam thank ya ma'm type of deal lol!

Movie review:

"Mirror Mirror"

Basically, its your well known fairy tale coming to life, but with a twist to it. I haven't seen the Disney cartoon version in a very long time, but I can tell you....it seems this version captures both sides of the story and with the evil step mother, the Queen, telling the story. My mom picked to see this movie and I wasn't interested in seeing it, but as I continued to (cause I have no choice lol) it fit with me and how my life is going....sadly. Ironically and not to give anything away, the apple part is completely at the end. The only characters or actors you will recognize right away is of course Julia Roberts and Nathan Lane, but of course also Sean Bean (The King; known from Lord of the Rings and Silent Hill) and Martin Klebba(one of the dwarfs; known from Pirates movie franchise). I like how the movie starts artistically with paper cut characters and animation and into the actors. Showing much action and laughs, it is a good movie to take your kids with you. There's lots of twists into this revision of the fairy tale in the movie, but its good that they added them since its a "modern" version of it and don't want the movie to be dark and retold like its been told for generations. Artistically beautiful, big plot twists, laughing scenes, action scenes and good acting...I give it a 3 1/2 stars over 5 and that's me not wanting to see it lol.

Like a kid in a candy store!!

Recently I visited "Michaels" arts and crafts store knowing I needed acrylic paints. I also totally forgot I had to waste a 60$ gift card I received earlier in the year or last year. So I walked in knowing what I needed and I went crazy with it all. Bought the 2 basic colors everyone needs, Black and white. Other colors followed, especially different hues of blue XD and well others I needed. I also bought new paint brushes since mine were different and well breaking apart in a sense and Thank God I bought some then, on sale for 24 types in a bundle for 2.99$, yes you didn't read wrong. I guess I should've bought more bristol and gloss, but I didn't know which would be better- gloss wise and bristol I wasn't thinking of getting more at the time. We'll see how my business goes and if I'll be needing more.

Apps ahoy!

 

Words with Friends

I know, I'm not a trendy person, but I got into these two Apps cause of boredomness and needing to get back into getting smart with one (in learning new words) and getting back to my drawing skills with the other. I know some of my friends have them, so I figured why not. If you have me on Facebook, connect with me that way for Draw Something and no, I have not downloaded Words with Friends for my phone and possibly don't intend to, unless it gives me the option to be able to play with someone being on Facebook and me being on my phone. Though if you have both and would like to play with me on either, then let me know.
