Movie Review: House at the End of the Street

Hello and welcome!

Synopsis:
"Seeking a fresh start, newly divorced Sarah and her daughter Elissa find the house of their dreams in a small, upscale, rural town. But when startling and unexplainable events begin to happen, Sarah and Elissa learn the town is in the shadows of a chilling secret."

This one was on my must see list, so we saw it in its opening weekend debut. At first I saw the previews of it and thought it was going to a good attention grabber, scary and will climax during the movie. Basically a family of two move to a new state to start anew and they start hearing stories about the house next to the one they're renting in. Lets just say, I was a bit disappointed after seeing it a bit. Commercial previews can drag you in the direction you want to be dragged to in the movie, but they can be misleading as well to be their purpose which played well for this movie. That is the main theme for the movie, misleading and every time the movie progressed you got mislead in some form, whether it be scary mislead or a history mislead. The actors play the misleading well for their parts and for the whole movie in its entirety. Parents would love the moral of this story, since we get told this many a times by them about strangers and their history. Some parts are scary, yet confusing and of course misleading. Rating: 3 1/2 out of 5 stars. Scary, but not edge of seat scary and it was a quick movie in my opinion! Spoiler alert (highlight to see): Parts in commercials that make it seem scary are the only parts in the movie that are somewhat scary, but they over dramatize them!

This movie and previous 2 movie reviews have been archived to the "Movie Review" tab in this blog for future references!
