Hello and welcome!
Synopsis:
"Clyde and Stephanie Brenek see little cause
for alarm when their youngest daughter Emily becomes oddly obsessed with
an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale."
This movie was on my "must watch" list. Oddly enough, my parents also wanted to see it so, we went. This is like all those other exorcism movies out there, but this one is quite different from the rest. Warning: If you do NOT like movies of this nature, then I really suggest not to go watch this one!! The movie states facts in the beginning of it and given some by the commercials, it is a true story...it happened in reality. As the synopsis states, the youngest daughter of a family of 4 gets possessed by a force. Unlike other exorcism, as I stated earlier, it is quite different from the rest with this one actually having a different background of how to expel the force out and relating it to objects and a name. There are some funny moments, which is odd to have in a genre of this sort, but they fit well into the moment. Of course there are more creepy or scary moments, but nothing that will make you jump off your seat. It is after all a true story, the story in general is scary to know that it did happen. Ranking: 4 out of 5-- it's just scary to think this could really happen!
Its so Awkward.
You might have heard me quote or just talk about this show on my Facebook from time to time. Honestly, this show is like my soap opera that I can really relate to from time to time as well. Even though I haven't really been in the same awkward situations she has been, some feelings she has gone through I have gone through as well. The confusion, the funny, the different paths we all could take or think about. The second to last episode of the second season, which the season finale is this upcoming Thursday (930pm), I can really relate to most-- wanting a do-over or a start-over. I started thinking of my own do-over paths that can happen, but...I'm not sure if there were any. A start-over? It really couldn't happen, so I told myself that if I can't have either, then I'm perfectly fine where I'm at now in life. Sadly, since this show is ending, I won't have much to look forward to now on Thursdays. I looked high and low for the first season on dvd at stores and sadly, I was defeated by a unseen force. I just might buy both from amazon soon and I'm glad my sis was looking too, without me knowing so. Since she didn't find it as well, she got me "The Big Bang Theory" season 1 instead for a birthday present....I'm happy! Well, if anyone would like to know what I'm talking about, with this show of course, I suggest sitting back at home watching Mtv all this weekend since they are having a marathon of it all and the season finale episode is this Thursday, so don't miss it!! I know I am, even though I have seen them all up till now. You're welcome!
