Reviews and updates!!

Weather

Lordy Lordy, I can officially say or start off with this topic in a good note!! Well, this whole week, starting off during this past weekend, we hit great numbers!! From 50s during the past weekend, to now..today...a world record for us!! We hit 80 degrees today out and the rest of the week into the weekend it seems we'll be staying in the upper or lower 70s.....FINALLY!!! We will be getting rain, but the weather after it won't be a big deal or problem, since it will stay in the 70s. Today, my family had a BBQ or just grilled outside, which ever term you prefer, and it was deeeelishious!! Anyways, its been a great week weather wise so far and it seems it will continue. I'm just happy that it seems to settle around those digits and hopefully it will stay that way.

Ooh baby, baby!!

So some little update on my sisters baby, she is doing fine and the baby is also fine!! She got another ultrasound this week and all looks well. She will be continuing getting ultrasounds for I believe 4 plus more weeks or so, just to see if everything is well. Due date? around October or November it seems and let's hope it stays that way!! Will keep this updated and you guys posted on all!!

Movie:
"Silent House"

So, my parents and I went to see this movie on its opening night. It caught my attention and well read the reviews on it being good, so you know...I just hope its better than "The Woman in Black". So it's basically a girl going through memories, with her getting scared and being utterly confused with what's going on in the house. This was filmed in a one shot deal, according to the directors and reviews and all and of course you can tell right away that it was straight in the beginning of it. If you get queasy due to lot of camera move-age, this is not the movie for you! Sure, it seems like it was a good trick to do with the cameras in order to make it seem and feel more scary, but alas...it wasn't that necessary. The new comer Elizabeth Olsen, is the younger sister to the Olsen twins, yeah...you know where they're from and if you don't, ever heard of "Full House"?. Back to her, her acting was good...mediocre, but childish or just plain ole funny to me. Every time she cried, many a people laughed, not just me. At the end of the movie, one person asked my dad, "Hey did you get it?", dad just shook his head and they went on with their remarks about it in needing to see it again to understand it. I understood it, I guess some people aren't just that bright in the crayon box. Ironically, there was a situation during the movie that happened in the theater. 2 women were escorted out by 4 AMC employee's, for what? I will never know. Between that mishap and the movie, the mishap was more interesting lol! Sure it interrupted a part of my movie, but yeeah 2 ladies being escorted out? really a big wow there. Anyways, I rate this movie a good or 3 1/2 stars if that's your liking on rating. Scary parts are mainly noises and sudden appearances of people or so. Small lesson in it, but of course I won't give that away!!

Other life and whatnots...

Been thinking since its soo nice out, to start or learn to drive again. Sadly, I chicken out in the last minute of asking dad or letting the idea out of my head, literally, so it doesn't happen. Been wanting to bike ride as well, but sometimes family just doesn't go out early enough, while sun is out, for us to really enjoy it either. Anyways, got 2 more ideas for laptop covers and I'm still continuing on the "Puss in Boots" one. Seriously, if anyone wants one, just tell me what you want and size of your laptop top/screen and I'll give you an estimate on the price!! Hm, I will soon enough sell off my PSP games and PSP bookbag to either Half price books or Disc Replay and compare which will give me more money cause, I need it now. Anyways, planning on going on a trip in April to see Eric and hopefully it will happen. Also been thinking of going to Job Corps here, but my age is the issue there, sooo it sucks. OH and finally, I have paid off one of my school loans in complete!!! Finally, no more issues with them. We'll see what happens from here with loose ends and all.

Yaaay, I'm an aunt!!! (plus other updates)

She calls it Peanut, for now lol!!

Well, its official!! My sister is finally going to be a mom!! After numerous tries with help or not, she is going to be a mom and finally me an aunt!! I'm super excited for her since she's been through a lot of hell to become a mother in the first place. I told her before, I will spoil her kid rotten, so I will keep my word on that. Ironically, this happened somewhat in the oddest time for me, since I totally got to save up money and help around the house at the same time. It totally leaves me in the negative level of spending any of my money on myself for wants. It means, I can only get what I need or necessities, totally no more shoes, possibly some to no purchase on clothes, and well stretch my money with entertainment and the alike. I have been using/cutting coupons from newspapers and online, so that's a plus there for food and necessities of mine or for the family.

Paintings

So I started to paint again. I love painting and well wanted to get back into it somehow and decided to do something for my laptop!

Pink Floyd ahoy!!
Behold, a Pink Floyd laptop cover!! I hated my laptop not having one and well basically having a clear one that came with it and kept it on my laptop (soo ghetto lol), but I hated it and decided to paint a "cover" for it. Used acrylic paints and bristol sheet for it and ta-daaaa!! At the moment, I am in the process of making another one, completely different from theme of course.

No, its not Carmen SanDiego!!
Ta-daaa, its Puss in Boots!! Why him? Cause he is quite popular nowadays because of his new movie out on dvd!! I bought it, of course, and well decided to do him 'cause of it. I started off with the basic colors that I was able to do quickly. Ironically, I picked to do his eyes and well the blue background. There was a lot of mixing in colors to do with both and I kind of succeeded with the sky, the eyes...I loved doing. I always loved drawing/painting the eyes first on anyone or any animal. The eyes have their own personality and well lots of detail, they stand out!! I will add both of these to my art blog, since they are art (duh lol) and will continue to show the progress of it here and on my facebook as well!! If anyone wants one for their laptop, let me know....message me!!

Collections

My awesome X-Files comic book collection!!
I finally found my other X-files comic books and on time!! Last year I went to C2E2 here and bought some X-files comics for only 1$ each, without knowing or remembering which I had already. I guess I got a great memory since I didn't double any of them!! I believe I got 4 different sets of them: the ones on the right, middle, and left top and left bottom. I got the old Topps ones, the more recent ish ones on the left by WildStorm, but 2 different versions by WildStorm "30 Days of Night" and well the other version they took out before "30 Days of Night". I also collected the trading cards relating to the 8th season, but must find my binder of it. Only ones I got from the latest movie are the ones shown in the middle bottom there. This coming April, C2E2 is coming back and I'm determined to get the rest that I need and well see that I like there. At least they are 1$ each, that won't break my budget much to at all. I do collect other stuff, like movie ticket stubs, but that's another story lol!!

Why only in PS3/Xbox??!?!

Why in the heck did they decide to make it ONLY for PS3 or Xbox 360 nowadays?? Seriously, make it at least for the PS2 and I'll be a happy camper. In all honesty it looks badass and they have improved totally in textures, colors......everything!! I sooo wanna play it and well own it, but...it sucks. Guess I need to think of when to get a PS3 honestly. I believe it comes out this coming Friday, if not this coming week. This....bites D<!! (I have yet to finish the wii one btw lol!)

Life, weather, etc...

Well, besides the loads of updates I just did above, life isn't going too well. I believe I hit 2 depression modes/moods this past week or two, the fact that I need to help out money wise in the amount that I mainly get through unemployment, the fact that the unemployment money was for bills, and well the fact that I just don't have a freaking job. I almost feel like going to Job Corps here in Chicago, but what sucks is that I'm already 25 and they only take 16-24 yr olds. I found 2 careers in it that I would like to take, but...my age is the issue. I'll see what I can do, with getting training one way or another. As for the weather, finally we have gotten into the 50s-60s. Tuesday and today we hit lower to mid 60s and both days I was in doors.....which totally bites. Seems during the weekend we will hit lower 50s and the beginning of next week the 60s. If it stays that way next week, I will definitely take my bike out and ride it around the block. I need to get out of this hell...I mean, house, once in awhile. Life was better when you were in grammar school, heck even high school....this bites!!

Sale items and reviews!!

Items for sale!!

Sadly enough, buyers for some of the items went downhill, as in they were not true to their word. Soo the monitor and iPod are still up for grabs.

Monitor is in smoke free home and no liquids were spilled on it!
Up for grabs again!! Buyer backed out.

Sadly I still have a buyer hanging with a game and bookbag and I feel bad for it. I have tried as best as I can to find someone to accompany me for the exchanges and well, no one has been able to. I can't rely on my parents or dad mainly, he makes his own plans and tells me late in them or doesn't tell me them at all. I don't want to do it alone, in case something happens during exchange either. Either way, these items are still up for grabs if anyone is interested in them.

Movie:
"The Woman in Black"

So yeah, I saw this movie recently because the previews for it caught my attention. It has a good plot to it, but sadly its slow in the beginning of it and when it comes down to the scary parts, they're slow too. Sure slowness is known to build suspense, but I don't think it should take that long or just something about the actor Daniel Radcliffe just doesn't know how to act during scary parts, therefore not right for scary movies. I don't think he'll be a good actor for any other type of movie, but only for movies like Harry Potter sadly. He's known for them and forever shall be and be good in acting in those type of genre movies. All in all, good plot, sad ending, and its just an average movie. Guess 1 to 2 "stars" in my part for judging/rating.

Dvd:
"Puss-in-Boots"

So I decided to go to Walmart to get a copy of "Puss-in-boots" on dvd. To my surprise, they had a good deal going on with it. The $25 deal consists of: Blu-ray dvd, Dvd, digital copy, extra movie called "The Three Diablos" (aka The Three Devils) and a Ty beanie baby toy of Puss-in-Boots all in one box. There were other deals. If you don't want a Blu-Ray version of it, there are 2 regular dvd's of the movie and extra movie and the toy for $19 OR if you don't want the toy and just the movies alone they are $15-$20 each depending on dvd or Blu-ray. I rather go with the whole bundle, since you're practically getting everything for $5 each. So go to your Walmart and purchase your own bundle of choice!! The movie in general is cute and very funny. Practically shows the background story of him and how he came to be known as Puss-in-Boots, so it's worth to watch and buy!! I haven't seen the other movie they're advertising, due to it being in blu-ray form and me not having a blu-ray player yet, but I will find out a way to see it.

Weather

The weather.....*sighs* its been crazy, literally. 40s to 50s, then drop totally down to 20s or 30s and add winds that are 30-40mph and well cold as well. It's all it has been going on here with that here. I just wish hopefully soon, around the end of March and into April we will get 50s and maybe low 60s weather around. I would like to go to the cons without holding a big jack or wear a thick heavy jacket as well. Hopefully March is like that for us and it will stay like that for once.

Painting and whatnot

 I've been wanting to get back into painting. I got, I believe, one more canvas or at least two that are blank and I want to use. I think I know which picture to do, but I do need help with a projector I believe. Projectors are expensive, so I digged into making my own, thanks to good ole google, I found some I might be able to make. I need to test it out somehow and make it work. Here are some examples I found around: here and here. Hopefully one of these work and I'll get the help I need from them.

Artistic Drive

Well, I'm going to try to make this post a short one. There's not much new going on in my life and I suddenly decided to post up an update on what I decide to do on my BIG spare time that I recently surprisingly received.

~~~~~
Writing
This one totally popped up as soon as I decided to write this sentence. I miss creative writing, but more specifically, short stories. I tried my best to get back into this part of my creative side in my life, but with this...I really need inspiration and well ideas. I do have some ideas already written out and on hiatus even, but I don't have the motivation to continue it, yet. I got at least 2 short stories already planned out and well, one even slowly being written in, but I just need that motivation feeling...that drive to continue it and dig in it, for it to be complete. Some of my short stories are already written and well uploaded on my other blogspot page here and here, if anyone's interested in reading them. I'll keep people up to date on this part of my life and if a short story came out of me and well, its completed. Check up here for updates like these or any updates on my creative writing side, heck even updates on my digital paintings here as well. I only like updating my Digital Blu blogspot when I'm officially working on something and have updates to show for it.
~~~~~
Mini business

I once before mentioned a small business or two that I wanted to start in my other blogspot. One consisting of digital paintings made through Photoshop and the other was relating more into painting designs into an object most people use on a daily basis or so. If interested in a digital painting, my pricing on them are here and you can always go to the main page to check out some samples of them as well. I really don't want to go into full detail with the second business I mentioned, due to copy cats around and well not sure if it will succeed much as the other. Since recently I have been given more time again, I might jump onto these two mini bandwagons and go into them officially. We'll see what happens with time and a little help here.

~~~~~
Digital Paintings
Given the surprising time recently I have, I will go back to making more of these and well, completing some that I put on hiatus....due to working hard at my last job and well, not having time at all. I got two paintings I put on halt and will continue with them very soon.
One is this Jester from a popular video game series called "Devil May Cry". He made me laugh every time he showed up and well is a clever character in the series.
Then there's this picture that I started to paint, but stopped....due to a situation that happened around that time. Since that situation is cleared up now and well, you get the point of that situation, I decided to continue with it. It looks almost complete anyways, at the update shown there.
I already got ideas for 2 other digital paintings I'm willing to not put down and forget about. You may have heard me talk a lot about 2 certain shows that I love and am a fan of.
One is called "My Life as Liz". I love these 2 characters the most, but mainly the guy. His name is Colin "Sully" Sullivan and why you may ask? Because he reminds me so much of my boyfriend....personality and caring that he is. Liz Lee kind of reminds me of myself, in some aspects, but just both of them combined remind me of me and my boyfriend and how childish we can be with each other. I haven't heard yet of a 3rd season of it on Mtv, but I will keep my eye on that.
The other picture I'm willing to do is of this actor, David Duchovny. You may recognize him from the most recent show called "Californication" on Showtime, but I "met" him on the show "The X-Files". Just the picture alone being in black and white will challenge me in it, but I'll take up the challenge anytime. I like adding shows or actors into my portfolio because it shows different elements of myself and what I can do, but mainly to show what are my favorites on certain things, like tv shows...my personality and favorites. Of course, at times, there are some elements I don't like and I do have in my portfolio, but I do need to show my abilities any way I can.(Heck I have this picture of him as my background on my laptop at the moment, lol).
Well, this is so far my updates on what I will be doing on my spare time. After these pictures I mentioned and posted, I have no idea what to do and heck, I'm not sure if I should pursue those small/mini businesses I mentioned here...I'm afraid they will fail, but I won't think that way without starting on them yet and at all. Just stay tuned on my Digital Blu blogspot for updates on the projects I mentioned here, step by step at times as well!! And sorry, this post wasn't as short as I thought and promised it will be lol, my bad!!
