Reviews and whatnots..

Movies:
"The People Under the Stairs"

I have oddly seen this movie before, I think I was around 12-14 years old when I saw it for the first time. At first I was like, "what a ridiculous movie!" and well that was the end of it. I believe a grammar school friend of mine came over to my parents house and brought it with her OR I went to her birthday party and saw it there. Anyways, I have seen it like 4 times total as of recently. Today, oddly enough, it was on BET channel and well I talked myself into seeing it. Nothing else was good on and it doesn't hurt to see it again or at all. It seemed to me like a low budge film at first glance and well wondering now if it was a book first then made into a movie or was it just an idea spilled out there and well, it was made. Basically its a kid from the ghetto who's family is getting evicted from their home and well, need money in order to pay what needs to get paid. Friends of his decide to rob people and oddly enough these people are not ordinary and do carry cash or old coins. As the story progresses, the guys get caught in the home and well have sudden deaths, the kid is the only survivor. He realizes that strange things happen in the house, along with a little girl living there under...strange circumstances. If interested in reading more of it, you can check it out here. Surprised its directed by Wes Craven, but it makes total sense now....why its different and well weird. If you like thriller, old school movies, twisted plots and somewhat happy endings to all of that, this is your movie to watch!!

Tv movie:
"Bag of Bones"

So the ending to it was today on A&E channel. A repetition of part 1 was before the conclusion and well a repetition of both parts followed afterwards. I really liked how it ended, he gained what he lost in the beginning of it...its how I see it. Sadly for him to go through every event he went through, but in a really good way he did...as like clues. He had dreams or daydreams of what happened in the town he was staying to write a story for his company. Plot twist is involving his wife with it and then twisting it to his past and well another lady from the past. He wondered why his wife was so interested in this lady and well, she found out how she was tied to her husband. He of course in the end of it all, knew why he was having those dreams and how it tied it to him. I don't want to give out anything if you didn't see it, but let's just say there's a curse involved within the whole story, but it was broken in the end of it all. I really like it and like I said before, stuff like this by Stephen King, makes me want to write again. Yet every time I want to write about a specific topic/event, its been done by him already....I'm sure of it. Hopefully I can find a good topic or so he hasn't done and well, finish it well. Sadly, if you missed seeing this movie I am not sure when they will repeat it on tv, so check your local listings for that!!

Slowly creeping on us..

Weather

Well, its been getting colder and colder here. We hit teens during the mornings most of the time, but we did stay in the upper 20s as the highest for the day. Heck, we even had snow fall during one night, but lol...it did not stick so long. Not sure when the next day we'll be getting snow and it actually sticking and building, but I hope its not any time soon. So Christmas and well snow are slowly creeping on us very soon...bah!

Gifts Ahoy!!

So I finally got the ones I need to be shipped out, well...shipped out. Rainbow got hers yesterday and I am glad.

I did sent out a letter along with them, but not in the box, but I am glad they all got there at the same time lol!! Sadly I haven't heard or seen anything new of my boyfriends gifts or changes to USPS site about it, so I hope it gets there on its "due date", which is Dec. 13th. Oddly enough, I think my friend Rainbow and I sent our gifts on the same day and well, received on the same day as well lol.

Argh, sadly...she put a condition on it and so I will "obey" it lol!! Thanks again Rainbow, for both gifts. I'm sure I'll love whatever is in this one as well lol! I'll keep looking for his and changes of status on it, if not...was just informed if not on time, then he will yell at them for it lol! Oddly enough, I have no idea what I want for Christmas, so it kinda stinks that I won't get many or so. All I ask for is money basically lol and if that can't happen, then nothing at all. I just don't need or want anything at this point, which is sad in my view, but it is what it is.

Baking/cooking

Well today I decided to bake. I've been craving to have chocolate and well brownies, so I finally decided to bake brownies. Exactly that product above I baked, since my mom and I bought it last week or so and well, I've been wanting to do it with some help, but it felt fun just doing it alone. At the end, they taste great and well, I hope I can buy a smaller pan so they can be thicker. so I do recommend buying this flavor, since I never heard of it before till now. Oddly enough my mom does want to make cookies that a friend of hers at work gave her samples and the recipe recently, so we might just do that soon. Once we figure out where to find the main ingredient for them and well proceed. I sure wish my cooking/baking partner is with me for all this....I do miss cooking/baking with my boyfriend *sighs*.

Tv movie:
"Bag of Bones"

Bag of Bones actually aired today on A&E and I've been waiting for that to happen. The previews for it totally caught my attention, along with it being something to do with Stephen King of course. No I have never read it and well, no point to in it now lol. It is a short mini movie made for tv, cut into 2 parts. The first part, of course, aired today and it will continue/end tomorrow, check your local listings for times. At first it's a typical story showing a married couple go through what any married couple does, especially if your spouse is an Author. Oddly the happiness ends abruptly for them and well people move on with their lives after a tragedy happens, but weeks pass and the sadness lingers and lingers. The story continues as the husband can't write anymore due to the tragedy and so moves to another area in order to write, since its required for him to write a novel soon for a spring debut. Odd things start to happen and he meets a particular person or well people along the way to the "downtown's" main area. All in all, the main events that happen are the attention getter to the whole story and well of course leave us hanging to see what happens next. If you're into Stephen King's work, hauntings, plot twists, dream twists all smashed into one then...this is the story/movie for you!! I will continue to watch it tomorrow and well hopefully it ends well, like any other Stephen King story does. Things like this, seeing his work, makes me want to write again and I attempt to soon...I do miss writing short stories!!

Mobile apps:
"Voxer"

So I recently added this app to my phone...in the request of my friend Rainbow. I looked into it and well said, "well why not" and so I did. I like the fact that it gives you options: walkie talkie, text, and/or send images to other people who have this app. If interested in joining me, download the app on your phone via your market app type. Want to learn more about it first, then go here. It is having issues at the moment, but I'm guess its because of the update it recently had. hopefully it gets fixed soon and sadly, this app is for smart phones and the alike, no basic types (looks at her boyfriend, "you need an upgrade, lol").

Sites:
"Tumblr"

Does anyone have one really? Anyone at all? If so, what the heck do you do in it? I already have this blog and lack in updating it daily, so I won't risk making one of these until....well I have to for some reason. Just, voice/state your thoughts of it or tell me what you do in it, if you got one!!

Reviews...

Movie Reviews:
"The Human Centipede"

Well, I finally got around to finishing this nasty blasted movie. All in all, I wondered, "This writer/director is nasty. What the hell were you thinking Tom Six?!?!" What can I say in order not to give anything away aka spoiler alerts? It's a nasty movie, no they do not show all the incisions, the victims are somewhat stupid...ok no they are stupid, what the hell is the doc thinking of, this doc has very odd fetishes...if they can be called fetishes, and well...how can they make another movie out of this concept? Again, if you're not into this type of movies, then I really don't suggest you watching it. I had a hard time continuing watching this movie; like literally I stopped watching it half way cause I knew the incision parts were coming and well...it might've taken me less than a week to get back into literally hit the play button to continue it. Kudos to you if you don't pause this movie at all aaaand you're willing to see the second part to it!

"Case 39"

I wanted to see this movie in the theaters, since it seemed really interesting, but I never got the chance to see it. Though I had the chance recently to see it through Netflix on my Kindle and I liked it. Here's a preview of it:

At first glance you think its the father or child abuse and well, case closed right? Wrong. In order for me not to give anything away, I'm going to say....Its not what you think a first glance in all you see in the preview above or in general. It's really got twists and turns and well you will think to yourself, "Really? Its that?!". Its a good terror-like movie that will make you think and no you won't get scared to the point you can't sleep at night. It's a light terror movie and if you're into suspense, terror, twists and all then I do suggest renting/buying it!

"Ghosts of Girlfriends Past"

I believe I either saw this movie in the theaters with my boyfriend or we rented it before, but recently I wanted to buy a new movie for the family to watch and well this was the cheapest one they had at Walmart lol! At glance, it looks cheesy and the typical "oh they'll get together in the end" or "something happens in the beginning" and well, it is one of those (but I'm not spilling anything, lol) and it works out in the end of it all. It is a romantic comedy, but it also shares a moral within all the comedy it has. I like movies like these because it really does show a moral through it all and hopefully opens the eyes or views of the people who watch these types of movies. It does start "slowish" at first, but it builds tension and the story/moral as it continues. I would recommend buying/renting it, if you're the type to like watching romantic comedy movies, with morals!

"The Langoliers" and "Sometimes They Come Back"

I'm currently switching back and forth with these two movies. Both are novellas by Stephen King and turned into tv  miniseries/movies. I recently came across a list of novellas of his that were turned into movies or tv miniseries/movies. If you would like this list, here it is and check out which movies you have seen for yourself. I have seen 30 of those movies in that list and that number will grow, trust me on that...I'm a big Stephen King fan."The Langoliers" at first, I didn't think I have seen it, but once I saw previews of it...it seemed familiar to me. I remember when I was younger seeing a similar movie like it and I believe this one's it. So I found it through youtube and started watching it there. "Sometimes They Come Back" was one I just browsed to see what it was about and it definitely caught my attention. Though very recently it also seems I have seen it before, but I won't jump that fast with that thought and will continue to watch it via youtube as well. Here are some previews of both:

 App Recommendations

Since I got my Kindle Fire, I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of applications. Can be a FREE book, definitely FREE apps: games, music, etc that I can download and well check out at first. I already got Solitaire, Bejeweled 2, Netflix, Autodesk Sketchbook, ebuddy, and well other apps that came with the product. Anything that you think I would like to try out I wouldn't mind and of course I will check out the reviews of it first before downloading to see if I like it or not. I appreciate the recommendations if any is given!
